About The Position

Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking an APP to work in the ICU as a "responding clinician." This role involves rounding with the Attending in the morning and afternoon, completing tasks, and responding to patient needs. The APP will not be performing procedures or billing. The position is for an adult patient group with an average daily census of 7 patients across 10 beds. While most cases are standard ICU and Med Surg, there may be 1-2 burn patients. Procedures such as intubations, lines, vents, transplants, ECHO, heads, EVD, and complex neuro stroke are not performed by the APPs. The facility is a teaching hospital utilizing Epic for EMR/Charting.

Requirements

  • Board Certifications Req’d in Acute Care with the ICU experience
  • MA State License
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • DEA Req’d
  • 2 years in critical care experience
  • Must be a PA (NPs are not considered due to licensing timeframes)
  • Must apply before client can initiate the appointment

Nice To Haves

  • Some independence is good
  • Ideally local providers who can stay in town
  • Local candidates who can take train/subway/drive in
