About The Position

Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking an APP to work in the ICU at their teaching hospital in Boston, MA. The APP will function as a "responding clinician" and will round with the Attending in the morning, complete tasks, and round again in the afternoon. The role does not involve billing or procedures. The average daily census is 7 patients with 10 beds in the unit. The patient age group is adult. Procedures are limited to bread and butter ICU and Med Surg, with 1-2 burn patients. The APP will not be responsible for intubations, lines, vents, transplants, ECHO, heads, EVD, or complex neuro stroke. This is a locum need for local candidates who can commute via train, subway, or car. Overtime is paid at the regular rate for hours worked beyond 40 per week, and holidays are paid at 1.4x. Orientation is 8 hours and non-billable.

Requirements

  • Board Certifications Req’d in Acute Care with the ICU experience
  • MA State License (only PAs will be considered)
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • DEA required
  • 2 years of experience in critical care
  • Ability to apply for credentialing before client initiates appointment process
  • Local candidates preferred
