About The Position
We are seeking a Cardiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Chambersburg, PA. This role involves clinical and call coverage in a hospital setting. The coverage period is from September 29, 2026, to March 16, 2027. The clinical shift schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, with weekend and night call coverage as needed. The call type is beeper with a 1:2 ratio and a 2-hour gratis callback rate. The patient demographics are adults, with a patient volume of 25-35 patients per day. The department has 265 beds, and the EMR system is EPIC. Specialty backup is available from Interventional and EP services, with 1 MD and 1 APP for Non-Invasive, Interventional, and EP services available at all times. This position is for supplemental coverage.
Requirements
- PA or Universal License (IMLC)
- BC or BE required
- DEA required
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Hospital Privileges Required
Nice To Haves
- CTA reading preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide non-invasive cardiology coverage for 1-2 weeks per month
- Perform and interpret stress testing, TEEs, and cardioversions
- Read and interpret Echos, holters, nuclear stress tests, and EKGs
- Conduct inpatient and outpatient cardiology consults
- Participate in weekend and night call coverage as needed
