About The Position

Seeking a Cardiologist for a Locum Tenens position covering both outpatient clinics and hospital consult services in Potsdam & Massena, NY. This role requires coverage for 3 weeks per month, with a shift schedule of Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and on-call duties from 4 PM to 8 AM as needed. The practice consists of approximately 75% outpatient clinic work and 25% stress test supervision and consult services. The physician will work in a solo practice model with APP support through September, and will be supported by nursing and cardiology staff. Specialty backup is available through the Rochester Regional Cardiology Network. The provider will float between Massena Hospital (outpatient clinic and stress test supervision) and Canton-Potsdam Hospital (hospital consult service).

Requirements

• Board Certified (BC)
• Active NY State License
• Epic EMR experience
• AHA or RQI Certifications required
• Comfortable working in a solo practice environment

Nice To Haves

• Nuclear Stress Test Interpretation experience
• 5+ Years Experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient cardiology evaluations.
• Supervise stress tests.
• Interpret nuclear stress tests (preferred).
• Review cardiac imaging.
• Provide hospital cardiology consults.
• Perform phone consults as needed.
• Participate in hospital consult service for admissions.
• Perform rounding as needed during hospital consult rotation.
• Float between Massena Hospital and Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
