About The Position

Heartbeat Health is seeking an experienced Echo and Vascular Technologist to provide on-site transthoracic echocardiograms as part of its clinical services team and in partnership with clients. The role extends the company’s virtual-first cardiovascular care model and involves working approximately 2–3 days per week on a 1099 contractor basis. The position requires travel to multiple locations during the week to perform on-site examinations.

The sonographer will independently perform complete transthoracic echocardiograms and a range of vascular ultrasound and duplex studies, following standard protocols and completing examinations efficiently and accurately. The role also includes attending monthly team meetings and occasional educational sessions.

Requirements

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
• Accredited two-year degree in Allied Health, Nursing, or a comparable recognized and accredited ultrasound technology program.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience.
• Experienced subject matter expert.
• Proficient in English.
• Excellent customer service skills and bedside manner.
• Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and professionally as part of a team.
• Ability to complete patient examinations independently with little direction.

Nice To Haves

• Registered Vascular Sonographer preferred.
• Knowledge of Studycast preferred but not required.
• Forward-thinking and tech-savvy.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform complete transthoracic echocardiograms.
• Independently perform abdominal aorta, upper- and lower-extremity arterial or venous ultrasound, bilateral venous insufficiency or reflux examinations, carotid studies, and IVC or iliac duplex studies.
• Perform examinations efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Follow standard protocols to ensure studies are accurate and complete.
• Attend monthly team meetings and occasional educational sessions.
• Travel to multiple locations throughout the week to perform on-site echocardiograms.
