About The Position

The Cardiac Rehabilitation RN provides patient assessment, treatment planning, education, and supervision of exercise sessions. The role also assists with Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, CORE, and clinical exercise programs. The position is casual with varying hours, is non-union, and reports to the Director of Wellness Services.

Requirements

• Current nursing license in the State of Ohio.
• Cardiac Rehab or Cardiopulmonary experience.
• Competency in telemetry monitoring and identification of cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Membership in AACVPR or completion of membership within one year of hire.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop treatment plans, provide education, and supervise exercise sessions.
• Document daily sessions, progress reports, and individualized treatments.
• Assist with Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, CORE, and clinical exercise programs.
• Attend the LaCross Cardiac Rehab Comprehensive Training Workshop after hire if there is no previous experience in exercise physiology techniques.
• Master the AACVPR Core Competencies, including exercise physiology, nutrition, risk factor modification strategies, counseling techniques, and behavioral change programs and technologies as applied to Cardiac Rehab and Secondary Prevention Services.
• Ensure correct charging practices.
• Compile and distribute documentation to health information systems for the permanent medical record.
• Assist with compiling and reporting outcome measurements required by current regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
