About The Position

The University of Rochester is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to lead the Holding Area within the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Lab. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, state-of-the-art procedural environment that utilizes advanced technology and innovative treatment options to deliver exceptional cardiovascular care. The Nurse Manager will provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership to a highly skilled team supporting patients throughout the pre- and post-procedure phases of care. This collaborative leadership position blends clinical excellence, operational leadership, financial stewardship, quality and safety, and staff development, while offering the opportunity to contribute to program growth and continuous improvement across the cardiovascular service line. The Nurse Manager will partner closely with other Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Nurse Managers, Assistant Nurse Managers, physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care. The Nurse Manager will report to the Assistant Director of Nursing for the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Lab.

Requirements

  • BS degree required
  • Prior leadership experience required

Nice To Haves

  • MS degree preferred
  • Recent clinical experience in an Adult Cardiac Cath and/or EP Lab, Heart Center, Cardiac Care, or Critical Care preferred.

  • Provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and communicates effectively within the unit and service.
  • Participates in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient outcomes.
  • May have responsibilities at the unit, program or service level and may assume an expanded role as assigned by leadership.
  • Includes on-call responsibilities.
