About The Position

The Car Wash Site Manager leads the day-to-day operation of an outdoor car wash site in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The role includes recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and scheduling employees; supporting employee engagement and performance management; growing sales and site profitability; managing operating P&L metrics; and resolving customer inquiries and issues. The manager ensures the site follows approved safety and vehicle-damage-claim procedures and performs other duties as assigned. The position requires minimal supervision and adherence to OSHA safety guidelines and applicable procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of retail experience, including at least one year in a management role.
• Unexpired driver's license; a motor vehicle record check will be conducted on the successful candidate post-offer.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including active listening.
• Experience with team building.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently throughout the workday; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stop, crouch, and kneel.
• Ability to work in damp and humid conditions and outdoors in variable weather.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a typical outdoor car wash environment, including moderate and potentially excessively loud noise, using required personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Some college.
• Supervisory or assistant manager experience in a big-box retail environment, automotive industry, car wash, or lube store.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard employees.
• Train and coach staff, schedule employee shifts, and adhere strictly to overtime policies.
• Conduct employee engagement, performance management, and recognition activities.
• Grow sales volume and increase site profitability.
• Manage operating P&L metrics and understand how expenditures and costs affect business margins and pricing.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve inquiries, incidents, and issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure the site follows approved safety procedures.
• Ensure the site follows approved vehicle damage claim procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Perform responsibilities safely and with minimal supervision, following standard operating procedures and OSHA safety protocols.
