About The Position

The Car Wash Site Manager is responsible for leading the site's employees and daily operations, with a focus on customer satisfaction, sales growth, and profitability. The role recruits, onboards, trains, coaches, and schedules employees, and manages employee engagement, performance, and recognition while following overtime policies. The manager oversees operating P&L metrics and ensures the site follows approved safety and vehicle-damage-claim procedures.

This role is based at a car wash site in Gainesville, Florida, and requires weekday and weekend availability. The work takes place in a typical outdoor car wash environment with damp and humid conditions, variable weather, and noise that may at times require hearing protection and other PPE. The manager must be able to perform duties safely with minimal supervision and follow OSHA guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of retail experience, including at least one year in a management role.
• An unexpired driver's license; a motor vehicle record check will be conducted on the successful candidate after an offer.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including active listening.
• Experience with team building.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
• Ability to work safely with minimal supervision and follow safety procedures and OSHA protocols.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, crouch, and kneel.
• Ability to work in damp and humid conditions and outdoors in variable weather.
• Ability to regularly lift or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Weekday and weekend availability.

Nice To Haves

• Some college education.
• Supervisory or assistant manager experience in a big-box environment, the auto industry, a car wash, or a lube store.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard new employees.
• Train and coach staff, schedule employee shifts, and adhere strictly to overtime policies.
• Promote employee engagement, performance management, and recognition.
• Focus on growing sales volume and increasing site profitability.
• Manage operating P&L metrics and understand how expenditures and costs affect business margins and pricing.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve inquiries, incidents, and issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure the site follows approved safety procedures.
• Ensure the site follows approved vehicle damage claim procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
