About The Position

The Car Wash Site Manager oversees the daily operation of a car wash site in Gainesville, Florida. The role leads recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, scheduling, employee engagement, performance management, and recognition, while following overtime policies. The manager focuses on growing sales and site profitability, manages operating P&L metrics and costs, and ensures customers receive timely resolutions to inquiries and issues. The role also ensures compliance with approved safety and vehicle damage claim procedures.

This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment, with variable weather, damp and humid conditions, and moderate noise that may become excessively loud. Personal protective equipment is required in accordance with OSHA safety guidelines. The manager is expected to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of retail experience, including at least one year in a management role.
• An unexpired driver's license; a motor vehicle record check will be conducted on the successful candidate after an offer.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including active listening.
• Team-building experience.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stop, crouch, and kneel.
• Ability to work in damp and humid conditions and outdoors in variable weather.
• Ability to regularly lift or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform the job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

• Supervisory or assistant manager experience in a big-box environment, the auto industry, a car wash, or a lube store.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard employees, train and coach staff, schedule shifts in accordance with overtime policies, and support employee engagement, performance management, and recognition.
• Grow sales volume and increase site profitability.
• Manage operating P&L metrics and understand how expenditures and costs affect business margins and pricing.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve inquiries, incidents, and issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure the site follows approved safety procedures.
• Ensure the site follows approved vehicle damage claim procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
