Car Detailer - FT
About The Position
Avis Budget Group is hiring a Car Detailer to prepare vehicles for customers and support a clean, safe, and reliable rental fleet. This is an outdoor, on-site role in Pensacola, Florida. No prior experience is necessary; on-the-job training is provided. The position pays $18.00 per hour, and a shift premium may apply. The Car Detailer cleans and prepares vehicles to meet quality and cleanliness standards, including washing, vacuuming, sanitizing interiors, and removing trash. The role also includes refueling vehicles, checking fluid levels and tire pressure, inspecting for auto body damage, and monitoring dashboard warning indicators. As needed, the employee moves, parks, and organizes vehicles across airport lots. The role requires regular on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely. Candidates should be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions, work all shifts, and perform the physical activities described in the posting.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Pride in producing clean, high-quality work with attention to detail.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in a moderate noise level.
- Flexibility to work all shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and continuously stand, walk, bend, enter and exit vehicles, and drive a variety of vehicles.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Regular on-site presence; the position cannot be performed remotely.
Responsibilities
- Wash, vacuum, and sanitize vehicle interiors and remove trash to meet quality and cleanliness standards.
- Prepare vehicles for the next rental.
- Refuel vehicles and check fluid levels and tire pressure.
- Inspect vehicles for auto body damage and monitor dashboard warning indicators.
- Move, park, and organize vehicles across airport lots as needed.
- Help ensure vehicles are clean, safe, reliable, and available for customers.
