The Capture & Business Development Analyst supports Spry’s pursuits from early opportunity identification through proposal handoff, with a focus on research, capture planning, and pre-proposal writing. The role turns agency, incumbent, and competitor information into capture briefs and bid/no-bid inputs for the Director. The Analyst works across DoD, Federal Civilian, and National Security pursuits and owns parts of capture on a small team that is still shaping its processes. The position shares pipeline sourcing with the Director and Coordinator, supports teaming and price-to-win, and ensures pursuits are organized for handoff after a bid decision. The Analyst researches agencies, missions, budgets, procurement history, incumbents, competitors, contract vehicles, past performance, and pricing posture. They develop capture briefs, qualification inputs, capture plans, win themes, RFI and Sources Sought responses, and past performance write-ups. They also source and qualify opportunities, keep CRM and teaming records current, coordinate teaming partners, support price-to-win research, track procurement milestones, and provide organized capture materials to the Proposal & Growth Operations Coordinator. The role may also support proposal surges and ad hoc leadership requests. Success means providing timely and usable research and bid/no-bid inputs, establishing capture plans and win themes before RFP release, submitting RFI and Sources Sought responses on time, maintaining accurate CRM and teaming records, and handing off pursuits with few gaps. The role gives the Director dedicated, research-based capture support, moves capture work earlier in the cycle, improves proposal handoffs, and adds capacity to a growing BD organization.
