About The Position

Accountable to the delivery of major CAPEX projects and programs (>5 OY) up to completion of PPQs within the assigned region, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, within budget and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Provide functional leadership and accountability for site-based Project Managers, ensuring consistent application of project management standards, governance and best practices. Support regional CAPEX portfolio management by providing visibility, prioritization input and alignment of projects with business objectives. Contribute to CAPEX planning processes (LRP, MRP, MYC, LBE) through regional inputs, project insights and execution readiness, in alignment with global governance.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering (Dipl. Ing. / M. Sc. / B. Sc.) or equivalent (mechanical / process / chemical or equivalent +10 years of experience in major investment project in international environment
  • English essential
  • Experience in investment projects in international environment
  • Broad Leadership experience for the management of internal and external resources in international environment
  • Outstanding Project Management knowledge including successful contract management with ability to deliver safe and fully compliant projects.
  • Well-developed communication skills, able to present to Senior Management
  • In-depth technical experience in a GxP regulated environment with knowledge of chemical and/or pharmaceutical engineering operations.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery of assigned CAPEX projects/programs (>5 OY) up to PPQs, including scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk management.
  • Accountable to successfully hand over of the projects for commercial operations.
  • Lead and direct site Project Managers within the region (solid and dotted line), ensuring effective execution, performance management and capability development.
  • Ensure consistent deployment of project management standards, tools and governance across all projects in scope, aligned with Global Engineering requirements.
  • Drive project performance monitoring and reporting, including KPIs, risk management, issue resolution and escalation as required.
  • Coordinate with site leadership and cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Quality, EHS, Finance, etc.) to ensure alignment and timely project execution.
  • Support regional portfolio prioritization and resource allocation by providing transparency on project status, risks and interdependencies.
  • Ensure implementation and sharing of lessons learned and best practices across projects and sites to continuously improve delivery performance.
  • Interface with global CAPEX planning and governance functions, providing regional input to planning cycles and ensuring alignment with approved investment strategies.
