About The Position

The Workplace Resources Organization is seeking an experienced Program Manager in Capital Projects. This role is crucial for managing a portfolio of work specifically in the RTP (Research Triangle Park) campus, focusing on Workplace Transformation. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience managing programs, with specific expertise in capital projects and managing relationships with vendors, service providers, and contractors. While this is a hybrid position with workload spread across the Americas, the candidate should be based near the RTP campus and be able to be on-site for meetings and vendor interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in project and program management (5+ years minimum), with a strong focus on construction capital program management and program delivery management for construction projects.
  • Expertise in managing diverse teams of vendors and contractors across multiple projects.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in concise reporting and clear communication when providing updates to senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • Acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
  • Developing comprehensive project plans that align with the strategic objectives of the organization, using agreed-upon business requirements.
  • Overseeing the performance of multiple projects, ensuring they are on track in terms of scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Partnering with the Commercial Management Office to oversee budget development and financial project controls.
  • Partnering with business managers on budget submissions to the Capital Finance Review Board.
  • Serving as the primary point for stakeholder engagement in the Americas Theatre, providing updates on portfolio performance and addressing concerns.
  • Leading, coaching, and motivating Cisco project team members and Project Managers, and influencing them to take positive action and accountability.
  • Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path, assessing risks, and developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Tracking project milestones and deliverables and preparing status reports for senior management.
  • Tracking and reporting on project metrics and performance indicators to senior management.
  • Continuously evaluating and improving project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
