About The Position

The Capacity Optimization Project Manager supports global deployment volumes across warehouse operations, serving as an operations-focused point of contact for a regional territory (East or West). The role involves frequent travel—up to 50%—to address changing site capacity needs and support on-site facility launches. The manager helps execute warehouse turn-ups, facility turndowns, 3PL swaps, and building transfers, using centralized tracking and site audit support to guide 3PL partners through standardized execution. The role coordinates operational activity during site turn-ups, tracks project milestones and tasks, resolves administrative and workflow issues, and provides status reporting and risk summaries to stakeholders. It also maintains and improves the project management platform and turn-up playbook, supports process standardization and feasibility checks, and represents internal operations teams in 3PL engagements.

  • Ability to thrive in a fluid, ambiguous environment and shift priorities rapidly to support organizational expansion.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.

  • Administer and continuously refine the project management platform and turn-up playbook, using change-management features to implement universal task updates.
  • Consolidate processes into a single source of truth and accurately map new technology and logistics functions as workflow predecessors.
  • Check timeline feasibility by calculating backward and forward from estimated site availability dates.
  • Represent internal operations teams in 3PL engagements and define roles, ownership, and LDAP assignments during project initiations.
  • Manage day-to-day 3PL communications and build trust with LOMs, ensuring critical issues are not siloed or missed.
  • Bridge communication between turn-up teams and provide clear, data-driven updates to Google contacts.
