About The Position
Second Nature Brands is hiring a Candy Packer to support its supply chain team as the company grows. This entry-level production role involves packing products in various packaging while maintaining the pace of the production line and completing repetitive tasks. The position is based at Sanders Chocolate Factory in Clinton Township, Michigan. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with weekday or weekend overtime as needed. The starting rate is $15.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift premium. This is a full-time position with benefits including paid time off, an employee discount, medical, dental, disability and life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company match. The work takes place indoors in a food manufacturing setting. Employees regularly work near moving mechanical parts, and the noise level can be high. Personal protective equipment is provided and may be required. Physical demands include standing for 8–10 hours, walking up and down stairs, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in slightly elevated temperatures.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have previous manufacturing experience.
- Work well with peers and supervisors.
- Work in a fast-paced environment to keep production running efficiently.
- Keep pace with the production line and perform repetitive tasks.
Responsibilities
- Pack products in various packaging.
- Ensure code dates are properly placed and legible.
- Check packaging for compromises.
- Ensure each box contains the correct number of packages.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
