About The Position

The Can Line Operator starts up, operates, and shuts down can-line equipment and provides backup support on the bottle line as needed. The role involves operating and monitoring production machinery, keeping equipment running and changing products, watching for damaged or down bottles, and maintaining a clean work area. The position is based in a warehouse production environment and includes on-the-job training. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. or until the shift is complete.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience is necessary; on-the-job training is provided.
• Communication, dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English to communicate with supervisors and coworkers and operate equipment.
• Visual and auditory abilities required to perform the job.
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling product.
• Ability to lift and carry less than 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull less than 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate all machinery on the can line and bottle line.
• Watch the operation of palletizers.
• Operate the can-line filler and seamer safely and efficiently.
• Operate the Hicone, tray maker, and multi-packer effectively and efficiently.
• Keep the multi-packer running and change over products.
• Watch for crushed and down bottles.
• Keep the floor area clean and picked up.
• React productively to changes and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
