About The Position

The Line Operator produces resin compound by operating all aspects of the production line. This includes preparing recipes, loading a horizontal mixer, operating the extruder, launching product to silos, or unloading product into super sacks and relocating it. Employees who have completed Line Operator training and gained two years of experience are eligible to become Senior Operators.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to calculate weights and measures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Fork truck certification required.
• At least two years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read formulas and production orders.
• Start up the production line and cutter.
• Cooperate with Mix Preparation and Line Feeding.
• Manage changes between different productions.
• Lift and cut 50-pound bags.
• Properly mix materials.
• Load a horizontal mixer.
• Feed the mix into the extruder feeders.
• Visually check the product.
• Manage the extruder and feeders.
• Clean extruders.
• Operate a forklift.
• Recognize different materials.
• Weigh materials.
• Launch finished products into a silo after Quality Control approval.
• Unload finished products from silos into super sacks and relocate them with a forklift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
