About The Position

This position is for a Campus Support I - Choral Librarian. The role involves maintaining the Choral Library by sorting and re-shelving music, cleaning and maintaining the facility, and cataloging new music. The librarian will also assist the Choral Director with preparing parts/scores, maintaining records of distributed parts/folders, and assisting with setup and teardown for rehearsals and concerts. Additionally, the role involves assisting with Chorfest music preparation and other assigned tasks by the supervisor.

• Music Majors or Music Minors.
• Participation in Chorale or UWS Singers course is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Sort and re-shelve music used by UWS Choirs.
• Clean and maintain choral library facility.
• Stamp and catalog new music before filing.
• Assist Choral Director with preparing parts/scores for UWS Choirs.
• Maintain records of parts/folders distributed.
• Assist in set-up and tear down for weekly rehearsals and concerts.
• Assist with Chorfest: music preparation.
• Assist supervisor with other assigned tasks.
