About The Position

GardaWorld is hiring a Campus Security Guard in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The role focuses on providing customer service and security for an assigned campus property. Duties include patrolling the property, monitoring and reporting activity, managing access and traffic, responding to critical situations, and enforcing client procedures and standards. The position also supervises and manages employees at the assigned site and maintains a professional relationship with the client.

Two part-time schedules are listed: Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m., or Saturday and Sunday, 7 p.m.–7 a.m. Each schedule is 24 hours per week. Compensation is $17.50 per hour. Requirements

• High school education or equivalent (GED).
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• At least 1 year of security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• Active driver's license.
• CPR certificate.
• State license, if required.
• Ability to read and write detailed reports.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols around the property.
• Deter vagrants from the property.
• Supervise and manage employees at the assigned job site.
• Maintain a healthy, professional relationship with the client at the assigned site.
• Use independent judgment and sound decision-making while performing duties.
• Observe and survey the area, and report activity at the assigned location.
• Regulate traffic and enforce traffic laws on the property.
• De-escalate verbal altercations.
• Respond rapidly to critical situations.
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards.
