About The Position

As a Catholic high school, it is the mission of St. Paul VI Catholic High School to provide an environment in which students and teachers can develop their God-given gifts and talents. The Campus Ministry Office Assistant is an open-minded collaborator who seeks to find ways to foster excellence at PVI, witnesses Gospel values, and supports positive approaches to collaborative learning among faculty and students. This role supports the Chaplain and Director of Campus Ministry in the day-to-day functions of the chapel and Campus Ministry Team, aiding the sanctification, faith formation, spiritual support, and growth of our students. The position also serves as the primary point of contact for the Service to Others program and a liaison between the school and its service verification provider, managing and tracking student service hours and communicating opportunities and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Chaplain and Director of Campus Ministry in the day-to-day functions of the chapel and Campus Ministry Team, aiding the sanctification, faith formation, spiritual support, and growth of our students.
  • Perform administrative tasks to help plan, execute, and evaluate Campus Ministry events, including All-School Masses, Freshman/Sophomore Retreat Days, Junior Retreats, Campus Ministry field trips–such as the March for Life, and faculty/staff retreats.
  • Assist with preparation for student retreats, such as gathering retreat materials, creating rosters, tracking permission and medical forms, and communicating with retreat sites to reserve spaces.
  • Attend overnight and day retreats as a staff mentor, and lead groups of students in discussions of faith.
  • Coordinate volunteer adorers to support Eucharistic Adoration for the school.
  • Communicate to faculty as needed regarding Campus Ministry activities, particularly Eucharistic Adoration, Advisory Mass, and students’ service hours.
  • Be the primary point of contact for the Service to Others program and a liaison between the school and its service verification provider.
  • Manage and track the fulfillment of service hours by the students and communicate service opportunities and requirements to the student body.
  • Model virtue, promote our Catholic faith, and witness Gospel values as a relational mentor to students.
  • Assist in supervising Campus Ministry Liturgy Team student volunteers.
  • Work with the Campus Ministry team to care for the Chapel and Campus Ministry office space, promoting a warm and inviting atmosphere for the PVI community.
  • Ensure linens, candles, wine, hosts, and other practical liturgical needs are cleaned, stocked, and prepared for Masses.
  • Schedule daily Mass stipends and intentions.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders for the Campus Ministry office.
  • Other duties as assigned.
