About The Position

Assists Camp Director with Camp Programs and Operations. Performs a variety of audio visual and sound related duties throughout the facility, including set up & tear down of all related equipment. Supervises support staff in those areas as needed to include outside contractors and summer staff. Maintains all sound equipment and all storage areas for supplies. Maintains inventory of supplies and orders replacement materials through Divisional Music Director.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Certification or diploma from an accredited Sound Technology Institute
  • Two years of experience working with children
  • At least three years of experience working with A/V and sound equipment
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Driver license
  • Willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility available.

Nice To Haves

  • Ropes Course Certified (willing to get)
  • Lifeguard Certified (willing to get)

Responsibilities

  • Assist as needed with a variety of camp programs and operations.
  • Oversee all audio, visual, and lighting needs for Camp.
  • Assist maintenance and housekeeping department as needed.
  • Organize, implement, and evaluate activities and programs for Camp, including the pool and ropes course.
  • Perform cleaning duties-taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, conference, and hotel rooms, vacuuming and sweeping/mopping as needed.
  • Assist in the year-round use of camp including summer camps, outside group rentals, and inside group rentals.
  • Monitor and evaluate programs to ensure effectiveness and safety of members.
  • Exhibit a conducive and hospitable environment for children and guests occupying camp.
  • Ensure a productive work environment.
  • Interact with children in recreational activities.
  • Assist and participate in regularly scheduled training sessions.
  • Prioritize use of A/V and sound equipment in all HOH facilities based on use and needs.
  • Maintain, organize, and inventory the A/V and sound related supplies of each area.
  • Check Out / Check In of any sound equipment used by rental groups.
  • Check all facilities prior to guest arrival for readiness of equipment and maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate with guest Services Director to ensure the satisfaction of all guest groups.
  • Be available to run/assist with A/V needs for various groups as needed.
  • Be available to assist with Summer Camping programs as determined by DYS.
  • Create a list for periodic cleaning and maintenance of all related equipment.
  • Occasionally drive camp vehicles to pick up or deliver supplies.
  • Perform other camp related work as required.
