CALL CENTER OPERATOR
About The Position
The Call Center Operator secures patient meal selections and special requests or needs through telephone or face-to-face interactions. The role is based at Cleveland Clinic - Marymount, 12300 McCracken Rd, Garfield Heights, OH 44125. The position is part-time, with shifts of 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour. Online applications are accepted only. Requirements
- Some call center or food service experience.
- Ability to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Follow proper telephone etiquette and procedures when communicating with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
- Offer menu alternatives permitted by prescribed diets, considering food allergies and sensitivities and cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
- Respond to patient needs, resolve concerns or complaints promptly, and report requests for assistance to a supervisor as appropriate.
- Comply with special and modified diet restrictions while meeting food preferences within diet-order guidelines.
- Coordinate with nursing to ensure diet prescriptions are accurate and patients’ food needs are met.
- Follow facility confidentiality and patient-rights policies under HIPAA procedures.
- Comply with applicable health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Follow HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies to maintain food quality and safety.
- Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time and in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
