Calibration System Integration Lead

Stellantis•Auburn Hills, MI

About The Position

The Calibration System Integration Lead coordinates the development, system-level validation, and release of powercube calibration releases across application and feature teams. The role drives calibration maturity, resolves technical tradeoffs, and works cross-functionally to meet program objectives while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, performance, and timing requirements. It requires strong calibration expertise, organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lead and track complex development cycles. The role coordinates system-level validation and release activities for PCAL PRC and Propulsion Systems feature teams, aligns PRS and non-PRS modules with Vehicle Integration teams, and supports the development and validation of calibration solutions. It also coordinates technical and logistical support, manages resource and calibration tradeoffs, represents the application in management and program reviews, and supports quality gate reviews. The lead takes a hands-on role in identifying and resolving issues, plans and executes cross-functional test trips when needed, and performs data collection, post-processing, and analysis during calibration release DVP activities. The position uses calibration tools and works with dyno and virtual testing platforms, including HIL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics from an accredited university.
  • At least 8 years of experience in powertrain calibration, particularly with high-performance vehicle systems.
  • Experience with at least one complete program development and launch cycle.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems, controls, and software development processes.
  • Expertise with calibration tool suites, including ETAS/INCA, MATLAB, Simulink, and CANalyzer.
  • Experience with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and dyno testing platforms.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and root-cause identification using functional models.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead a team of peers and foster a collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • Conflict and crisis management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 or more years of calibration experience, including multiple program development and launch cycles.
  • Broad exposure to cross-functional calibration feature development.
  • Familiarity with Stellantis internal processes and standards, including emissions regulatory and certification processes and quality processes.
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistical methods.
  • Experience with MATLAB scripting and data-processing languages or tools such as Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, PowerApps, or PowerBI.
  • An “AI Native” approach to work-stream efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development, system-level validation, and release of powercube releases for PCAL PRC and Propulsion Systems feature teams.
  • Execute system-level PRS validation with Vehicle Integration teams to ensure functional alignment between PRS and non-PRS modules.
  • Collaborate with calibration subsystems and vehicle integration and validation teams to review issues and implement solutions using established calibration methodologies.
  • Coordinate implementation of controls features in development and production releases in line with program timing and in conjunction with Controls Managers.
  • Develop and validate calibration solutions for features within the CCSI and/or PCAL PRC areas of responsibility, collaborating with core calibration feature teams and PCAL PRC feature COEs.
  • Arbitrate calibration tradeoffs and physical and virtual resource constraints among calibration subsystems to meet program objectives and timing, including safety, regulatory compliance, fuel economy or range, emissions, drivability, and propulsion system stability.
  • Coordinate technical and logistical CCSI calibration support for PCAL PRC feature teams, including mule commissioning, development resource support, and running-change regulatory documentation.
  • Represent the application at management ride-and-drives and PRC program reviews by providing status updates, escalating risks, and offering technical insights and explanations.
  • Support PCAL PRC Quality Gate reviews by providing feature teams with program updates and Vehicle Integration input as needed.
  • Take a hands-on approach to finding and fixing issues and set an example through direct involvement.
  • Plan and execute cross-functional test trips when required, using resources efficiently and completing objectives on time.
  • Collect, post-process, and analyze data during calibration release DVP activities; analyze functional models to identify root causes and document controls and software issues blocking calibration progress.
  • Maintain proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and Kanban, and expertise in calibration tool suites including ETAS/INCA, MATLAB, Simulink, and Vector.
  • Use platforms that interface with dyno and virtual testing (HIL).
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
