Calibration System Integration Lead

Stellantis•Auburn Hills, MI

About The Position

The Calibration System Integration Lead coordinates development, system-level verification, and release of powercube calibration releases across application portfolio functional areas. The role drives calibration maturity, arbitrates technical tradeoffs, and works cross-functionally to meet program objectives while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and performance. It requires technical expertise in calibration methodologies and feature development, familiarity with regulatory requirements, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to lead and track complex development cycles. The lead coordinates calibration activities for PCAL PRC and Propulsion Systems feature teams, including system-level PRS validation with Vehicle Integration teams. The position develops and validates calibration solutions, coordinates controls-feature implementation and technical support, and represents the application in management ride-and-drives and program reviews. It also supports quality gate reviews, resolves issues hands-on, plans cross-functional test trips, and performs data collection, processing, and analysis for calibration release verification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics from an accredited university.
  • At least 8 years of proven powertrain calibration experience, particularly with high-performance vehicle systems, including at least one complete program development and launch cycle.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems, controls, and software development processes.
  • Expertise in calibration tool suites including ETAS/INCA, MATLAB, Simulink, and Canalyzer.
  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and dyno testing platforms.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and root-cause identification using functional models.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team of peers and foster a collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • Conflict and crisis management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 10 years of calibration experience, including multiple program development and launch cycles.
  • Broad exposure to cross-functional calibration feature development.
  • Familiarity with Stellantis internal processes and standards, including emissions regulatory and certification processes and quality processes.
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistical methods.
  • Experience with MATLAB scripting and other useful data-processing languages or toolsets, such as Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, PowerApps, or PowerBI.
  • An “AI Native” approach to work-stream efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development, system-level validation, and release of powercube releases for PCAL PRC and Propulsion Systems feature teams.
  • Execute system-level PRS validation with Vehicle Integration teams to ensure functional alignment between PRS and non-PRS modules.
  • Collaborate with calibration subsystems and vehicle integration and validation teams to review issues and implement robust solutions consistent with established methodologies.
  • Coordinate implementation of controls features into development and production releases to meet program timing, in conjunction with Controls Managers.
  • Develop and validate calibration solutions for features within the CCSI and/or PCAL PRC scope, collaborating with core calibration feature teams and PCAL PRC feature COEs.
  • Arbitrate calibration tradeoffs and physical and virtual resource constraints among calibration subsystems to meet program objectives and timing, including safety, regulatory compliance, fuel economy or range, emissions, drivability, and propulsion system stability.
  • Coordinate technical and logistical CCSI calibration support for PCAL PRC feature teams, including mule commissioning, development resource support, and running-change regulatory documentation.
  • Represent the application at management ride-and-drives and PRC program reviews by providing status updates, escalating risks, and offering technical insights and explanations.
  • Support PCAL PRC Quality Gate reviews by providing PCAL feature teams with program updates and Vehicle Integration input as needed.
  • Take a hands-on approach to identifying and resolving issues and set an example through direct involvement.
  • Plan and execute cross-functional test trips when required, ensuring efficient resource use and timely completion of objectives.
  • Collect, post-process, and analyze data during calibration release DVP activities, including analyzing functional models to identify root causes and document controls and software issues blocking calibration progress.
  • Use basic computer tools such as MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and Kanban, and calibration tools such as ETAS/INCA, MATLAB, Simulink, and Vector; work with platforms interfacing with dyno and virtual testing (HIL).
  • Maintain careful attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
