About The Position

This role involves a variety of cash handling and customer service duties within a cage and vault environment. Responsibilities include managing cash, processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and the ability to perform manual functions when necessary. Duties extend to both the front cage and back vault operations, including assisting with chip distribution, processing deposits, and handling jackpot payouts.

Requirements

  • Ability to sign for key and till and complete correct paperwork.

  • Ability to take in loose coin and exchange for currency/coin.

  • Ability to ensure coin machines are cleared and bags are on at beginning of shift.
  • Ability to clean coin machines daily.
  • Ability to record any problems with coin machines.
  • Ability to make copies of forms or paperwork.
  • Ability to complete a form for found money and make a copy.
  • Ability to distribute safety deposit boxes.
  • Ability to answer phone calls and transfer.
  • Ability to cover and lock till when away from window.
  • Ability to answer customer questions or concerns, supply with customer complaint form if requested.

  • Ability to perform manual functions when computers are down: redeem tickets up to approved designated amount, and handle higher amounts with slot attendant or technician verification.

  • Ability to accept bill acceptor money from slots for Count team (back cage).
  • Ability to distribute chip fills for gaming tables, call security, sign and complete paperwork (back cage).
  • Ability to process taxable payouts: make copy of Driver's License and original slot ticket, have customer fill out a W-9, verify information, and pay jackpot amount (back cage).
  • Ability to distribute and track tills and keys for other departments (back cage).
  • Ability to count money and coin fills for redemption window (back cage).
  • Ability to exchange money with front line teller (back cage).
  • Ability to cash in and record chips, slot tickets, checks and coin machine receipts with tellers (back cage).
  • Ability to track tickets redeemed from tellers (back cage).
  • Ability to distribute and track wallets issued to Slot Technicians and count money when returned (back cage).
  • Ability to give (clear box) 4K Jackpot box to security for Poker (back cage).
  • Ability to log tickets manually on paper when computer will not accept them (back cage).
  • Ability to complete manual jackpots and fill slips when system goes down (back cage).
  • Ability to enter all manually performed information into the system when it is back up and running (back cage).
  • Ability to repack tills at end of shift.
  • Ability to sign paperwork and keep track of till at shifts' end, turn paperwork into Management.

Responsibilities

  • Inform other tellers on tracking.
  • Complete a Title 31 form (MTL) when a customer has reached a certain amount.
  • List all checks cashed on check cashing log.
  • Perform money exchanges with other departments.
  • Payout petty cash and payroll advance transactions when required.
  • Run loose coin for other departments.
  • End of shift or when necessary, print report on tickets redeemed.
  • Sell tickets with report ran to exchange for money with back cage.
  • Run reports on checks & cash advances to exchange for cash with back cage.
  • Assist in training new tellers.
  • Keep cage window/till supplied with what is needed and required.

  • Distribute safety deposit boxes as requested by patrons who want one.
  • Answer phone calls and transfer as necessary.
  • Cover and lock till when away from your window.
  • Answer customer questions or concerns, supply with customer complaint form if requested.
  • Direct customers in the right direction when asked for assistance.
  • Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers by being polite/courteous.
  • When computers are down must perform manual functions: Redeem tickets up to approved designated amount, if higher, need slot attendant or technician to verify before redeeming and let them.
  • When computer system is back up and running, redeem tickets through system.
  • When working in the back cage, perform the following duties: Collect tips from other departments and count them.
  • Collect POS deposits that are not dropped into the RBG machine from other departments.
  • Complete money exchanges with the Island Oasis and Hannahville Pharmacy.
  • Distribute cards and dice (Supervisor logs in book).
  • Verify chips from Poker tournaments.
  • Fill envelopes with money for Poker tournaments.
  • Clean dirty and/or wet coin and chips as necessary.
  • Accept from slots bill acceptor money that is dropped and put aside for Count team.
  • Distribute chip fills for gaming tables, call security, sign and complete paperwork.
  • Distribute money to slot attendant for payout/jackpots.
  • Process taxable payouts: make copy of Driver's License and original slot ticket, have customer fill out a W-9. Make sure customer information on W-2G matches info on license and W-9 form and pay slot attendant jackpot amount.
  • Distribute and track tills and keys for other departments.
  • Count money and coin fills for redemption window.
  • Exchange money with front line teller.
  • Cash in and record chips, slot tickets, checks and coin machine receipts with tellers.
  • Track tickets redeemed from tellers.
  • Distribute and track wallets issued to Slot Technicians and count money when wallets are returned.
  • Give (clear box) 4K Jackpot box to security for Poker.
  • When computers are down must perform manual functions: Log tickets manually on paper when computer will not accept them.
  • Complete manual jackpots and fill slips when system goes down.
  • When system is back up and running, enter all information that has been performed manually.
  • Repack tills at end of shift.
  • Sign paperwork and keep track of till at shifts' end, turn paperwork into Management.
  • All other duties as assigned by Department Director and/or Supervisors.
