About The Position

Cash Vault Tellers process cash deposits and provide change fulfillment services while ensuring accuracy and excellent customer service. The role requires valuing both the results of the work and how the work is performed. Tellers communicate positively, professionally, and courteously with coworkers and management; safely operate and maintain cash-processing equipment; count and log client deposits in teller software; scan and track deposits using handheld electronic devices; prepare currency and coin orders; and accurately track vault assets. They safeguard negotiable items and confidential records, promptly report delays or concerns to a supervisor or manager, maintain a clean processing area, and perform other duties as assigned. The role involves using computers and cash-processing equipment, as well as other office equipment as needed. It includes standing or sitting for continuous periods, frequent standing, walking, sitting, handling items, reaching, and communicating, and occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The posting describes lifting up to 50 pounds, with team lifting sometimes required. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Accuracy and good math skills are required.
Must be able to use a computer and cash-processing equipment.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds and sometimes team-lift around 50 pounds.
Must exhibit professionalism, politeness, and courtesy and be willing to help the team.
Must be trustworthy and act with integrity.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of teller, vault teller, cage cashier, lead cashier, or equivalent cash-handling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Communicate positively, professionally, and courteously with coworkers and management in person and through phone, written, computerized, or other electronic means.
Safely operate cash-processing equipment and keep it in good working order.
Accurately and efficiently count and log client deposits in the teller software system.
Use handheld electronic devices to scan and track deposits.
Prepare currency and coin orders.
Accurately count and track vault assets.
Ensure the safety of negotiable items and confidential records.
Notify a supervisor or manager promptly about delays, issues, concerns, or problems.
Maintain a clean and orderly teller processing area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
