About The Position
The Vault Teller maintains and monitors coin and currency levels in the bank vault. The role verifies coin and currency received from branches, correspondent banks, customers, and tellers, and follows established procedures with integrity, care, and excellence. It also includes processing check deposit items and maintaining security over the area of operation.
Requirements
- Basic computer and calculator skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work the schedule.
Responsibilities
- Supplies branches, correspondent banks, and customers with coin and currency.
- Monitors and maintains established cash levels in the vault and orders cash from the Federal Reserve Bank when necessary.
- Verifies sums of coin and currency received from branches, correspondent banks, customers, and tellers.
- Verifies, captures, and balances check deposit items and audits check image quality.
- Contacts the appropriate sender when an error occurs.
- Prepares and ships excess coin and currency to the Federal Reserve Bank or correspondent banks.
- Balances completed work and compiles reports showing inventory as needed.
- Maintains security over the area of operation by following established procedures.
