About The Position

The Cage Main Banker supports casino cage operations by balancing and overseeing the vault, managing shift paperwork, safeguarding assets, and ensuring transactions are accurate and secure. The role assists Cage Cashiers and other casino employees with cashier functions and serves as a resource for cage operations while maintaining a professional, guest-focused presence. The position requires accuracy, accountability, sound judgment, and a welcoming approach in a fast-paced casino environment. The Cage Main Banker ensures compliance with internal controls, company policies, and reporting requirements, and supports the team wherever needed.

Requirements

At least one year of cage, banking, or other acceptable cash-handling experience.
Ability to keep paperwork in balance.
Proficient operation of a 10-key adding machine or calculator with a high degree of accuracy.
General working knowledge of cage and casino operations.
Team-oriented approach.
Demonstrated ability to conduct cage operations in accordance with prescribed standards.
Professional appearance and attitude.
Ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests and teammates.
Must pass and remain compliant with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug-free workplace policies.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to stand for extended periods; frequently walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; occasionally sit; and bend, twist, and kneel.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure, including when dealing with stressful situations or upset people.

Responsibilities

Keep the work area safe, clean, and friendly, and report safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
Assist Cage Cashiers and casino employees with cashier functions, including paying slot tickets, exchanging currency denominations, and completing Table Games fills and credits.
Oversee and maintain responsibility for the Vault, ensuring assets are handled accurately and with integrity.
Create and issue Imprest Banks for casino departments and maintain precise tracking and accountability.
Prepare assigned documentation promptly, accurately, and in compliance with internal controls.
Resolve issues using sound judgment and discretion, referring matters to the Cage Shift Supervisor when appropriate.
Build strong working relationships with team members and support a culture of trust, teamwork, and positivity.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and reporting requirements.
Maintain a professional, guest-focused presence that reflects the resort's standards for excellence, accuracy, and hospitality.
Support the team and help operations run smoothly as needed.
