About The Position

The Cage Cashier pays out winning gaming machine tickets, chips, and tokens to customers. The role handles large sums of money and requires following casino procedures exactly. The cashier reports to the Cage Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Cage Manager on duty.

This is a part-time position with a listed pay rate of $10.00 per hour. The stated shift details are 12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday, and 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. on Thursday, with Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday listed as days off. Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option.

Requirements

• Experience handling large volumes of cash.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Knowledge of high-volume cash-handling policies.
• Ability to apply basic math, including arithmetic, ratios, proportions, or conversions.

Responsibilities

• Follow casino procedures when handling money and paying out tickets.
• Ensure required paperwork is signed and included in shift packets for auditing.
• Confirm customers have signed for payouts above the location-set amount before paying the ticket.
• Answer customer or public inquiries about general gaming procedures and payouts.
• Make change and exchange money, credit, tokens, and tickets at customers’ request.
• Verify customer identification when needed.
• Verify the authenticity of tickets and payout requests.
• Maintain accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
