About The Position

As the Cage Cashier, you will pay out winning gaming machine tickets, chips, and tokens to customers who present them. You will handle large sums of money and ticket payouts and must follow casino procedures exactly. You will report to the Cage Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Cage Manager on duty. The position is part-time and pays $10.00 per hour, plus an average hourly tip rate of $14.02. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., and every other Thursday from 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.

Requirements

• Experience handling large volumes of cash.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Knowledge of high-volume cash-handling policies.
• Ability to apply basic math, including arithmetic, ratios, proportions, or conversions.

Responsibilities

• Follow casino procedures when handling large sums of money and paying out tickets.
• Ensure all required paperwork is signed and included in shift packets for auditing.
• Ensure customers sign for payouts above the location-set amount before tickets are paid.
• Answer customer or public inquiries regarding general gaming procedures and payouts.
• Make change and exchange money, credit, tokens, and tickets at customers’ requests.
• Verify customer identification when needed.
• Verify the authenticity of tickets and payout requests.
• Maintain accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
