About The Position

We are looking to hire a part-time Cafe Shift Lead for Madhappy at our Flagship location in Nolita. In this position, along with the store manager, you will own operating procedures for this location and build a team centered around efficiency and embodying our brand vision. This role will report directly to this location’s store manager. You must be based in or willing to move to New York City metropolitan area to be considered for this position.

Requirements

• 2+ years of coffee and/or coffee related experience
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
• Previous experience working in a small team environment
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays and weekends, if needed
• Proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally, patiently and effectively with customers and team members
• Familiarity with the Madhappy brand and mission
• Valid New York Food Handler's License

Responsibilities

• Inventory management, scheduling, staffing, cleanliness, preparations, and more
• Learn and develop a true understanding of the Madhappy brand and customer base
• Work with the store manager and HQ to bring the vision to life
• Help recruit and lead the location staff
• Willing to help whenever and however needed so team feels supported
