About The Position

Provides prompt and courteous service to customers in a cafeteria or cafe setting. Prepares and assists with orders and food preparation, processes payments, and maintains a clean and efficient environment. The position is per diem. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; no certification, registration, licensure, or experience is required.

The work environment has a moderate noise level. Employees are frequently exposed to non-weather-related heat or cold, slippery surfaces, and toxic or caustic chemicals, and occasionally to airborne contaminants and electrical shock hazards. The role has medium material-handling demands and requires lifting, carrying, or pushing/pulling items of varying weights. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No certification, registration, or licensure required.
• No experience required.
• Regularly lift, carry, or push/pull up to 10 pounds; frequently handle 10–25 pounds; and occasionally handle 20–50 pounds.
• Regularly kneel; frequently bend, perform fine motor and repetitive motions, hear, reach, speak, squat, stand, and walk; and occasionally climb, drive, sit, smell, and taste.
• Required vision abilities include color vision, depth perception, far vision, near vision, and peripheral vision.
