About The Position

The Cafe Associate at Cup of Joe’s serves as the first and last impression for café guests. The role involves greeting guests as they enter and leave, directing traffic, preparing sandwiches, salads, and specialty coffee drinks, and accepting payments. The associate helps stock and replenish café products, including coffee, soups, and grab-and-go items, and completes baking and utility tasks as part of a team. The position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while maintaining a clean, fast, and friendly café environment.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Food Handler certification from the City of Paterson or a similar food safety certification; obtain it within one week of hire and maintain it.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Friendly attitude and strong customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three to six months of on-the-job training and orientation.
