Cafe Associate
About The Position
St. Mark Village is hiring a full-time Cafe Associate in Palm Harbor, Florida. This in-person role supports café food service in a compassionate, purpose-driven community. The associate prepares and serves meals, assists with prep cooking, maintains kitchen sanitation, performs routine cleaning, and supports food safety record-keeping. The position offers $15.00–$17.50 per hour. Shifts may vary among 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, and 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with weekend rotations required. Applicants must have prep cook and food handling experience, a basic understanding of food service operations, and be at least 18 years old. Customer service experience is strongly preferred. Qualified employees may be eligible for a benefits package. Applicants must be able to produce a negative drug test and may be subject to a background check. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals in the café and assist with prep cooking.
- Maintain sanitation of kitchen areas, tools, and equipment.
- Perform daily, weekly, and routine cleaning tasks, including occasional dish room support.
- Mentor fellow team members in proper cleaning practices.
- Promptly report equipment damage or needed repairs.
- Assist with food safety record-keeping, including food and refrigeration temperature logs.
