About The Position

Café Team Members serve guests food and drinks efficiently at the Urban Air Café. Work takes place in the kitchen and/or service area and includes cashiering, interacting with guests, cooking, preparing food, and serving it. Team Members are expected to work quickly and with urgency while maintaining high standards of guest service and care. The position requires a friendly, engaging, and professional approach to guests and coworkers, the ability to work under pressure and multitask, and a willingness to learn, take instruction, and work independently. Team Members may work days, nights, and/or weekends as required in a noisy, fast-paced environment. The role involves moving around the facility, standing for extended periods, and lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic addition and subtraction skills.
Friendly and engaging personality, with good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Comfortable interacting with the public, initiating conversations, offering a sincere welcome, and providing good service.
Willingness to learn, take instruction, work independently, support teammates, and multitask.
Effective, organized, and efficient team player with a strong sense of discipline and urgency.
Accountability for high personal standards of conduct and professionalism.
Ability to move around the facility and stand for long periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Some college education.
Previous restaurant or quick-service experience.
ServSafe or similar food-handling certification.

Responsibilities

Provide high standards of guest relations and care when assisting guests at the counter.
Advise guests on products and menu selections to support a positive experience and repeat business.
Maintain adequate stock of Café supplies and consumables.
Manage queues, exceed guest expectations, and upsell to maximize profit.
Keep the Café and surrounding areas clean and tidy, including clearing tables, washing dishes, and taking out trash.
Handle guest complaints initially and report feedback to the Leadership Team.
Follow established guidelines and operating procedures.
Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
Cook and store food at appropriate temperatures.
Rotate stock according to established procedures.
Comply with health code regulations.
Maintain organized kitchen and storage areas.
Participate in staff meetings and training as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by Leadership.
