About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store and provides customer service to help guests have a positive shopping experience. The role involves greeting customers, assisting with retail sales, and accurately handling point-of-sale transactions. The cashier helps maintain the store’s appearance and cleanliness, stocks and cleans the store, and maintains the gas pumps and exterior. The position requires effective communication, teamwork, composure in a fast-paced environment, and availability for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks at once.

• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
• Provide work cards required for the jurisdiction before the start date.
• Valid Health Card.
• Valid Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written English communication may also be required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

• Previous point-of-sale experience, retail sales, gas station attendant experience, or customer service experience.
