About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store, providing exceptional customer service and helping ensure every guest has a positive shopping experience. The role involves greeting customers, assisting them, supporting retail sales, and accurately processing point-of-sale transactions. The successful candidate is friendly, dependable, customer-focused, communicates effectively, works well under pressure, and contributes to a positive team environment. The position requires multitasking and flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. No supervisory responsibilities are assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks at once.

• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
• Provide any work cards required by the jurisdiction before the start date.
• Valid Health Card.
• Valid Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written communication skills in English may also be required.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance from others.

Nice To Haves

• Previous point-of-sale experience, retail sales, gas station attendant, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet customers.
• Maintain the store’s appearance, keeping it clean, neat, and organized to support a positive shopping experience.
• Process accurate point-of-sale customer transactions.
• Stock and clean the store.
• Maintain the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and the store’s outside appearance.
• Support team members and promote a positive team environment.
