About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store and provides customer service to create a positive shopping experience. This role handles point-of-sale transactions, supports retail sales, and helps maintain the store and gas-pump areas. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, customer-focused, communicative, and able to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis, are required. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Valid Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Ability to read and interpret English-language documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written English communication skills may also be required.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions using commonsense understanding, and to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance from others.

• Previous point-of-sale experience, retail sales, gas station attendant, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain the store’s appearance so it is clean, neat, organized, and welcoming.
• Process accurate point-of-sale customer transactions.
• Stock and clean the store.
• Maintain the cleanliness and management of gas pumps and the store’s exterior.
• Support team members and promote a positive team environment.
