About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store and provides exceptional customer service to ensure guests have a positive shopping experience. The role involves greeting customers, assisting with retail sales, and accurately handling point-of-sale transactions. The cashier also helps keep the store clean, neat, and organized; stocks and cleans the store; and maintains the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and the store’s exterior. Teamwork and a positive attitude are important. Candidates must be able to multitask, remain composed in a fast-paced environment, and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. The work environment is usually moderately noisy. The role requires standing for extended periods and being able to lift up to 45 pounds, as well as stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.

• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.
