About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store and provides exceptional customer service to ensure guests have a positive shopping experience. The role includes greeting customers, assisting with retail sales and point-of-sale transactions, and maintaining the store’s appearance and cleanliness. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, customer-focused, communicates effectively, works well under pressure, and contributes positively to a team. The position requires the ability to multitask and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. No supervisory responsibilities are assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks at once.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
• Provide work cards required for the jurisdiction prior to the start date.
• Valid Health Card.
• Valid Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written communication skills in English may also be required.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Previous point-of-sale experience, retail sales, gas station attendant experience, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet all customers.
• Maintain the store’s appearance so it is clean, neat, and organized and provides a positive shopping experience.
• Process accurate point-of-sale customer transactions.
• Stock and clean the store.
• Maintain the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and the outside appearance of the store.
• Support team members and promote a positive team environment.
