About The Position

The C-Store Cashier provides customer service and helps guests have a positive shopping experience. The role includes greeting customers, completing point-of-sale transactions, maintaining the store’s appearance and cleanliness, stocking merchandise, and cleaning and managing the gas pumps and exterior. The cashier works with team members to promote a positive team environment and must be able to multitask, communicate effectively, and remain composed in a fast-paced or uncertain environment. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis, is required. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work cards required by the jurisdiction must be provided before the start date; a valid Health Card and Alcohol Awareness Card are required.

• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 lbs.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.

• Previous point-of-sale experience, retail sales, gas station attendant, or customer service experience.
