About The Position
The Cashier is the face of the store, providing customer service and helping guests have a positive shopping experience. The role involves greeting customers, handling point-of-sale transactions, supporting retail sales, and maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the store and gas pump area. The successful candidate is friendly, dependable, customer-focused, communicates effectively, works well under pressure, and contributes to a positive team environment. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis, are required. Work cards required by the jurisdiction must be provided before the start date. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. A valid Health Card and Alcohol Awareness Card are required.
Requirements
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks at once.

- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.

- Ability to read and interpret English documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written English communication skills may also be required.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance from others.
