About The Position

The busser assists wait staff in serving guests promptly and supports the servers while maintaining the restaurant and its surrounding areas. The position is primarily in the evening and is part-time. Duties include greeting guests, bringing items to tables, clearing and resetting tables, responding to guest requests, coordinating with restaurant staff, and assisting with food delivery.

Requirements

Must be able to communicate effectively.
Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail.
Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
Must be able to carry heavy trays and furniture weighing up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift.
Greet guests promptly as they are seated and bring crudité, water, and bread to tables.
Clear tables after guests leave and take tableware to the dish room, placing items in the appropriate areas for washing.
Clean tabletops, chairs, and booths between seatings; check and clean the floor as required.
Reset and arrange tabletops.
Respond promptly and appropriately to guest requests and communicate requests to the server immediately.
Communicate with the server, host, and Maître D’ to support efficient seating, table utilization, and guest service.
Assist servers with food delivery as needed, especially for larger parties and during peak periods.
Thank guests as they leave.
Maintain personal cleanliness and immaculate uniform presentation.
Help fellow staff whenever possible.
