About The Position

The Busser clears and cleans tables, chairs, and surrounding floor areas; resets tables for new customers; and keeps bus stations clean, stocked, and orderly. The role supports restaurant service by distributing clean dishes and supplies, assisting waitstaff with guest requests, replenishing ice stations, and maintaining clean restaurant floors. A friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor is expected. Other duties may be assigned or requested by management.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs, including serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment, up to 75% of the time.
Full range of mobility and ability to travel up to 300 feet regularly throughout the shift.
Ability to stand continuously during preparation, service, or expediting.
Ability to read meters and controls.

Responsibilities

Clear used tableware, napkins, and refuse from tables and take them to tubs in the bus station; wipe tables and chairs and clear crumbs and debris from surrounding floor areas.
Reset tables according to established standards so new customers can be seated promptly.
Move full tubs from bus stations to the dishwashing area and keep bus stations clean, stocked, and orderly.
Retrieve cleaned dishes, glassware, and utensils from the dish room and distribute them to service stations.
Sweep restaurant floors throughout the shift.
Retrieve requisitioned items from the stockroom, verify requisitions are complete and correct, and stock items in their proper places while rotating stock.
Assist waitstaff by refilling beverages and fulfilling requests for condiments, food items, or clean tableware.
Keep ice stations filled by carrying ice from the main ice machine to individual stations.
Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
