About The Position

As a Busser, you will help ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the restaurant. You will clear and reset tables, assist with dishwashing, clean and sanitize work areas, support servers and other team members, and provide friendly, attentive service to guests. You will also help keep supplies stocked, learn menu items and ingredients, and follow company policies and health and safety regulations. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Attention to cleanliness, detail, and organization in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• At least sixteen years old.
• Ability to learn restaurant or bar point-of-sale software; systems mentioned include Aloha, Hot Schedule, and Paylocity.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays, and bend, stoop, and reach during work.
• Ability to lift at least 15 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Busser or in a similar hospitality role is preferred but not required; motivated individuals will be trained.

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain a clean and welcoming dining area.
• Assist with dishwashing, including sorting and stacking dishes, glassware, and utensils and ensuring clean items are available.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including floors, counters, and equipment, and regularly sanitize surfaces.
• Support servers by refilling beverages, delivering food orders, and providing other assistance as needed.
• Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet guest needs and support smooth operations.
• Offer friendly and attentive service, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with special requests.
• Learn menu items and ingredients to provide accurate information and appropriate recommendations to guests.
• Assist with stocking supplies such as napkins, condiments, and utensils.
• Assist servers, hosts, and other team members as needed to support the dining experience.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
