About The Position

Bussers continuously clean and set up Flanigan’s dining rooms, bars, and patios to support a positive service experience. They prepare the restaurant and assist servers, bartenders, guests, and the wider team by clearing dishes, cleaning areas, and keeping the restaurant in good order.

The role requires frequent reaching, bending, and stooping, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and place heavy items on high shelves or in coolers and freezers. Work takes place in damp, high-temperature indoor environments and minimally outdoors. Employees must complete and pass Flanigan’s and Florida-compliant responsible vendor and food safety certification programs.

Requirements

• Ability to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, and freezers.
• Ability to work in damp, high-temperature environments, indoors and minimally outdoors.
• Complete and pass the Florida Responsible Vendor program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass a food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Responsibilities

• Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Clean and set up tables for new guests in a timely manner.
• Assist guests by clearing dishes and glassware.
• Remove trash and debris from bar and dining area floors.
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and keep outside parking areas, patios, and waiting areas clean.
• Ensure high chairs and booster seats are sanitary.
• Perform shift changes, opening and closing duties, and assigned sidework.
