About The Position

The Busser enhances and supports the overall dining experience for residents, family members, and guests. The role assists with culinary activities across the Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care, and Club Room dining venues, as well as special events and private functions. Service should be friendly, courteous, helpful, and timely, in keeping with The Sterling Touch® and Community standards, processes, procedures, and practices. The Busser and Food Runner works under the general guidance of the Executive Chef and Dining Room Supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and understand English to communicate with employees, residents, and guests.
• Sufficient manual dexterity in the hands and arms to use kitchen equipment and utensils, including knives, spoons, spatulas, and tongs.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, and pull, and to work continuously without sitting for extended periods.
• Ability to lift or carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of fine dining or restaurant experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with special events and private functions.
• Provide friendly, courteous, helpful, and timely service in accordance with Community standards and practices.
