About The Position
The Busser is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. The role removes dishes, utensils, glassware, and paper products from tables and dining areas; delivers dishes and utensils to the dishwasher for cleaning; empties food and paper waste into the trash; and arranges tables and chairs after guests leave. The Busser also sweeps around and under tables and chairs, cleans highchairs and booster seats, regularly cleans handrails and steps, and ensures areas are free of hazards.
Responsibilities
- Remove dishes, utensils, glassware, and paper products from tables and dining areas.
- Deliver dishes and utensils to the dishwasher for cleaning.
- Empty food and paper waste into the trash.
- Arrange tables and chairs after guests depart.
- Sweep around and under each table and chair after guests depart.
- Clean highchairs and booster seats.
- Clean handrails and steps regularly.
- Ensure areas are free of hazards.
