About The Position

The busser assists wait staff and bartenders with maintaining tables and service areas. When guests leave, the busser clears dirty dishes, sanitizes tables, cleans seats, and tidies the surrounding floor and table area. The role also includes supporting service stations and preparing tables for the next guests.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills and a pleasant rapport with dining guests.
• Solid communication skills.
• A good sense of menu items.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, and move around for the entire scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 15 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior restaurant experience is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Remove used or unnecessary plates while guests are still seated.
• Remove extra place settings or provide additional settings as needed.
• Prepare tables for the next round of service by clearing plates and glasses.
• Sanitize tables and surrounding areas for the next guests.
• Reset place settings with silverware, water glasses, bread plates, and other items.
• Restock and help maintain expo and server stations, the glass-washing area, and related service areas.
• Empty trash containers and dirty-dish receptacles.
• Assist with refilling ice for the bar service station.
